Sustainability-Going green, going clean

Ciao! So today we are talking about a topic that has been going around for the last few years and it is now present in every category of our life. Whether it is beauty, fashion, food, travelling; sustainability is something we hear a lot about. I started my journey 5 ½ years ago when I stopped eating meat and it truly changed the way I look at things now.  I want to make a series out of this because there is much to cover: so this is the introduction of a series that is meant to be eye-opening to some and giving additional info to others.   Sustainability The 3 Rs   Reduce, reuse, recycle!- a motto you have heard at least once in your life if not on every other ad. The 3 R's are like the holy trinity of sustainability. By reducing your waste, you minimize the impact on the planet by not creating, you guessed it, waste. Reusing comes in the middle of the cycle, it is the most challenging for most of the people because a lot of things aren't made for them to be used again but believe me, a lot of items can be reused at least once after the first use. If you have to throw away after using something, make an effort to buy something reusable the next time so you reduce your waste. As you see, reducing and reusing come hand in hand. The last part of the cycle is recycling, many think that recycling is the most efficient way of being good to the planet: the answer is no. Recycling is just the most popular and the easiest. I am not saying it is bad but it comes at the end of the cycle for a reason, its the last option, it is something you could have skipped. The goal is to create as little waste as possible and implementing things you can reuse or things that are friendly to nature, like compostable packaging.   Fast fashion = no.   Fast fashion... Google says its "inexpensive clothing produced rapidly by mass-market retailers in response to the latest trends". Popular fast fashion brands are Guess, Gap, Fashion Nova, Massimo Dutti, H&M, Zara, Shein and many others. By buying fast fashion brands, you support the whole … Continue reading Sustainability-Going green, going clean

How to boost your immune system

Ciao! Todays blog post perfectly fits this current state we are in. Since the COVID-19 has been around, everybody has been talking about washing your hands, like that’s something we never did before it came🙄.But I am here to talk about ways to boost your immune system all yearround and not just while the pandemic is happening.  These are things I started doing daily and I haven’t been sick in a long time. You have to be consistent with these things and try to incorporate as many as possible in your daily life (I promise it’s not hard or time-consuming). Stay hydrated!  You’ve heard it before and I don’t want to sound like a broken record but you really shouldn’t skip your water. Water gets everything in your body flowing and working properly. It helps with flushing out toxins and the body's natural detox system. … Continue reading How to boost your immune system
